Asclepiades, to the householder,
from
honey-
seller.
I beseech you to declare
in what manner you arranged this matter concerning me.
Arthouthis will give me back
the silver as
Pharmouthi
or to vacate the house,
and it was written down
concerning you. But Arthouthis
not giving
me the silver
nor vacating the house, I happened upon you, and you commanded him to take away.
And when your wife happened upon you, saying that she had prepared the silver,
she arranged to give back to me the silver (drachmas).
Of Paul
or to vacate
the house. Therefore, I beseech you
with all my prayers, since it has been arranged concerning you to give back to me the silver
and has not given it,
but brings me to arrange the matter
of the rent of the years and
to write down what pertains to me concerning the house. When this is done,

To Asklepiades, the steward,
from [name missing], honey-seller.
I suppose you are unaware of the manner in which Arthoutes arranged before you to repay me the money by Pharmouthi 13 or else vacate the house, and this was put in writing before you. But since Arthoutes neither pays me the money nor vacates the house, I appealed to you, and you ordered him to be taken away. When his wife approached you, claiming that she had prepared the money, she arranged to repay me twenty drachmas of silver by Pauni [date missing] or else vacate the house. Therefore, I beg you earnestly, since it has been arranged before you several times to repay me the money and he has not repaid it but keeps putting me off, [please order her] to pay the rent for the [years] and write to the appropriate person to hand over the house to me. When this has been done [text breaks off here].
