The topographer has previously given to you. Therefore, concerning those previously entrusted to us, please clarify for us how you have managed the matters regarding the same writings. If otherwise, it will be accomplished from your own.

Since, therefore, you have previously been instructed by us, immediately clarify to us how you have managed [these matters], so that instructions may be written to you concerning these same matters. If it is otherwise, it will be managed at your own expense. [To Polykrates]."
