"Of the Heracles' place and to Athena and also to Apollon, the bookkeeper from Zenatos, Zenatos of Heratos, mother of Areia of the city of Oxyrhynchus, of the amphorae of Heracles' place. According to the decrees concerning the judgment of those approaching from the gymnasium, I declare myself to have approached the thirteen-year-olds from the gymnasium in the year of Domitian and to have been transferred in the same year for judgment in the thirteen-year-olds at the amphorae of the Gymnasium, from where having come to my own judgment, I declare to be my signifying father, Zenan of Heratos, from the same city, who whenever he was present, was registered at the Gymnasium of Dromus under the command of Sositios and of Nicandros, who became the royal secretary and of the others recorded in the writing in the year of the god Vespasian, of those from the gymnasium of the receipts at the same amphorae in order of those under the command of Kourtius Paullinus."

From Zenatos, son of Zenatos, grandson of Heras, whose mother is Areia, daughter of Hypatikos, from the city of Oxyrhynchus, quarter of Herakleous Topoi, to Athenaios also called Apollonios, the librarians:
In accordance with the instructions given concerning the examination of those entering among those from the gymnasium, whether they belong to this class, I declare myself to have entered among the thirteen-year-olds from the gymnasium in the fifteenth year of Domitian, and to have been presented in the same year for examination among the thirteen-year-olds in the quarter of Dromos Gymnasium. Having thus appeared for my examination, I declare that my aforementioned father is Zenas, son of Heras, grandson of Zenas, from the same city, who, when he was present, registered himself in the quarter of Dromos Gymnasium during the strategia of Soterios Sosibios and when Nikandros was royal secretary, and in the other recorded census in the fifth year of the divine Vespasian, among those admitted from the gymnasium, in the same quarter, in the rank of those examined under Curtius Paulinus, chiliarch...
The verso contains fragmentary accounts or lists mentioning measures of olive oil ("ἐλαίου"), radish oil ("ῥαφανίνου"), and possibly other commodities, measured in "kotylai" (κοτύλαι, a liquid measure) and valued in drachmas (δραχμαί). The text is incomplete and fragmentary, making a full translation impossible.
