[After] the consulship of Flavius Vivianus, the most illustrious, and of the one who will be appointed, on Phaophi 10, 3rd indiction.
[To Flavius] Ioannes Taurinus, who is assigned to the military rank in the Thebaid, from Aurelius Victor, son of Bekios, whose mother is Pia, from the village of Terton Psake in the Hermopolite nome. I willingly and voluntarily acknowledge that I have leased from you for a period of six years, starting from the harvest of the fortunate fourth indiction, the six arouras of land belonging to you, located in two places: four arouras in the area near the administrative office of my village, and the remaining two arouras in the other place near the administrative office of the village of Leukos Pyrgos, for the deposit of whatever produce I may choose. The annual fixed rent for these lands is thirty-six artabas of wheat and barley, half each, which rent I will measure out to you each year without fail in the month of Epeiph, new, clean, sifted, measured by the Athenian standard, at the threshing floors of the same village. The lease is valid and secure, and upon being questioned, I have acknowledged it.
(hand 2) I, Aurelius Victor, son of Bekios, the aforementioned, have leased as stated above. I, Aurelius Phoibammon, son of Hermodoros, from Hermopolis, having been requested, wrote on his behalf, as he does not know letters.
(hand 3) ⳨ Written by me, Phoibammon.
Lease of Victor, son of Bekios, from the village of Terton Psake in the Hermopolite nome.
