Translation

After the consulship of Flavius Ioannes, the most illustrious and glorious general and consul, in the tenth year of the indiction, in the eighth year of the current indiction, I acknowledge voluntarily and of my own accord to lease from your virtue for one year, starting from today, which is the tenth of Tybi, the existing land of yours, one plot of land drawn towards the place of the shepherds of the Hermopolite district. The lease is valid and secure, and I have acknowledged it when asked. Aurelius Papnouthius, the one mentioned, I will lease as stated. Aurelius Hyperchus, having been honored from the city of Hermopolis, wrote on behalf of him letters without knowledge. Aurelius Horoughis of Pinoitios from Hermopolis testifies to the lease having heard from the appointed. Aurelius Psatis Lolloutos from Hermopolis testifies to the lease having heard from the appointed. To Flavius Ioannes Taurinus, the most admirable, from Hermoupolis, from Aurelius Papnouthios, son of Pkylios, whose mother is [...]ia, from the hamlet of Sentapouo, under the guardianship of those from the village of Ptemenkyrcis, in the Hermoupolite nome.
