"To Sotelis, a relative and general and concerning the revenues, from Kalathus, priest of Demeter and Kore, and the other gods of the village of Phus of the Thesmophoria. Unfailingly providing the services and the sacrifices and offerings, bringing them to the gods on behalf of you and your children, for whom I also pray to grant you grace, form, wealth, prosperity, and good fortune, so that you may succeed in all time, being disturbed by your piety by Horion as regards the administration, at another time not having been completed, I, attempting to you, the greatest innovation, have been compelled to make the refuge upon you. I demand, if it seems fitting, to inscribe to Horion not to disturb me regarding the administration, just as concerning those in the village of the Egyptians priests, so that I may be able to fulfill the lawful and the subsequent needs without fault."

(hand 2) Year 2, 78 (uncertain reading)
(hand 1) To Sotelis,
(*)
relative [and general and overseer] of revenues,
from Kalathos, priest of Demeter [and] Kore
and of the other gods of the Thesmophorion in the village of Phys.
Having provided blamelessly the liturgies and sacrifices and libations,
offering them to the gods on behalf of you and your children,
for whom I continually pray to grant you favors,
beauty, wealth, prosperity, good offspring, and success,
so that you may prosper for all time.
Being troubled despite your piety
by Horion concerning the payment of taxes,
who at another time, although I had fulfilled my obligations, attempted
to impose upon you the greatest innovation,
I have been compelled to take refuge with you.
I request, if it seems good, that you instruct Horion
not to trouble me concerning the payment of taxes,
just as in the case of the priests in the village of the Egyptians,
so that I may be able to perform the customary rites and subsequent [duties]
without blame.
