Philon
and another Dionysios, a fellow of the same kind
and of the tenth month of the year of Apellaios, on the 21st day in the city of Herakleous, in favor of Memphis.
Philon son of Lycos, a Macedonian of the inhabitants of the cavalry, to Dionysios, son of Dionysios, a Macedonian of the
inhabitants of the cavalry, is pleased with the event that has occurred to Dionysios through the equestrian accounting
record, of which he has granted to him from his own estate concerning
in Pibti of the 400 arouras, of which the boundary is
the northern side towards the south, four ropes of Libos, one rope towards the southern side of Philon, the places of Philon towards the north
of the southern boundary of the land around Komon, and it is to be held by Dionysios and his descendants primarily
for all time, for which he has provided to him the Dionysios of useful things for both
the crowns and the other things of the estate, and not to call or to summon
anyone against him, neither Philon nor anyone else
on his behalf concerning the mentioned arouras
of four, nor their portions, but to provide clean from all royal and private
debts and crowns and writings from the previous years until the years of the subsequent
writings, and from other grants for all time confirming all confirmation.
He consents to the grant of the four arouras of Philon’s
brother Herakleidis of the same father of Lycos. If Philon or Herakleidis
or another on their behalf
should come to write against Dionysios or against those from him, calling him
concerning these matters as it is written, the things that are sworn to be valid
shall be, and the future entry shall be invalid
and let it be added
that Philon or Herakleidis or the one who comes against them or the one on their behalf to Dionysios or whoever may come
from him shall be a tax
of 500 drachmas of Ptolemaic coinage and the damage
and to the royal treasury the same and let the action be as it is from justice, as they willingly
have consented.
