we swear by King Ptolemy and Queen Cleopatra, also called Tryphaena, the gods Philopatores and Philadelphoi, and their ancestors, and Sarapis and Isis and all the other gods, male and female.
I, Timasikrates, son of Timasikrates, a Thessalian, allotment-holder of the division of Kainon, and my son Timasikrates, heir of my paternal allotment, promise Alexandros [son of so-and-so], of the cavalry settlers, to abide by and fulfill for you and those from you everything according to the written agreement which we have deposited with you along with this handwritten document through the same archive.
According to this agreement, we have consented to the transfer made to you in the official records of what my father Timasikrates has ceded to you from his allotment located near the village of [...] consisting of two arouras, whose boundaries and neighbors are indicated in the written agreement, in return for which he has received benefits, both for the crowns and other royal obligations of the allotment.
We will duly provide you and those from you with clear documentation of the surveys and measurements, free from all royal and private debts, and from all crowns and inscriptions from previous times up to the time of the transfer, and from all previous concessions and every administration forever.
If we violate anything written in this handwritten document, the transfer shall remain valid according to the terms arranged in the written agreement, and the right of action shall belong to you and those from you against us according to the agreement, and I myself shall be liable to the oath whenever it is properly established.
