This is a copy from the thirteenth year of the reign of the Emperor Caesar Nerva Trajan Augustus Germanicus Dacicus and of the other communities existing in Alexandria, on the sixth day of the month Tubi, in the upper toparchy of Oxyrhynchus. Tandeveus, son of Rouphus Persinus, of the lineage of the lord of the man from the village of Gaius Longinus, acknowledges that Tandeveus has taken charge of a male slave from the dung, so as to nurse for a period of two and a half years from the month Thoth of the current thirteenth year (of the reign) of Domitian the lord, for the wage of the one who is in charge of the nursing period of months twenty-four, receiving each month (seven drachmas) and two cotylae of oil and for the nursing of six months each month half an artaba, and for the oil cotylae a fee of twelve, and Tandeveus is to provide herself not to cohabit with a man nor to nurse another child, nor to cease the nursing of this one within the time; and from this, Tandeveus also acknowledges that she has received from the wages a gift for two years, and when the time has been fulfilled, she will give to her the due gift.
