The brother of Penoeuris, Penoeureus, is noted for his ethnographic work regarding the village that has come to an end in the month of Mesore, in the first year of Gaius Caesar Augustus Germanicus. Therefore, I present to you this memorandum so that this name may be included in the list of the deceased according to custom.

My brother Peneouris, son of Peneoueris, who was registered for the census in the aforementioned village,
has died in the month Mesore of the first year of Gaius Caesar Augustus Germanicus.
Therefore, I submit to you this memorandum,
so that this name may be entered in the list of the deceased according to custom.
