I confess willingly and of my own accord and without regret that you have come to me free from the imposed part under Earth and Heaven, according to the piety of the all-merciful God, having come to me from the inheritance of my mother from now on for all time, and in return for what you have shown me in time of goodwill and affection, and also of service; therefore, you are to be treated according to my stated part as I have previously said, and you may freely and without hindrance go to whatever places you wish, for it is pleasing and you are to obey me, the liberator of those being freed, to this liberation as it has been previously declared, and to those who will come from them, whether for female children or for other descendants, nor shall there be any hindrance to the slavery from any of my heirs, and it shall not be permitted to any of my heirs to oppose me in this piety concerning anything in any way from any cause whatsoever, for which they themselves have also shown me goodwill and affection in time, and I myself, in return, willingly come to this freedom which I have established as a lord and secure, simply written and everywhere carried, under my signature of Dorotheus, her husband, for your eternal security, and having been asked, I confessed.
