Oath, which Herakleides must swear
to Lucius Cephalon, son of Perigenes,
on the 24th of Chesevaeus,
in the month Hathyr, year 8:
By this Herakles and the gods worshipped with him,
since we have had a dispute among ourselves
at the racecourse of Apollonios
on the 2nd of the same month,
we have given the agreements
to Perigenes the secretary,
that if my father should die,
I will introduce my own son
into the association (synod).
Concerning any other matter,
no agreement has been made.
There is no falsehood in this oath.
If he swears, Cephalon shall immediately pay
to the association one jar of wine;
but if Herakleides does not swear,
he himself shall pay the jar.
Another oath was administered.
