"For those who are about to happen there, it is necessary to be informed through the decisions thus made. Antonios Gregorios, the most distinguished leader of Thebaid from Paris, has sent me this order through a servant, as mandated by the appointed governing decision, to be executed by those in charge. Therefore, she herself is unable to lead the quietness of their vain occurrence. And I, having been given this, from the most distinguished leader Antonios Gregorios, have signed it based on my own report, commanding them to be compelled by the praepositus of the district to adhere to the customary work as it stands. Before the 12th of the Kalends of December, the praepositus of the district shall compel your farmers to comply, maintaining this, if they have any reasonable excuse. It is necessary to avoid the land being turned into a wasteland, the danger of which falls upon the tenants, if they overlook the cultivation of this. I am delivering these books — resolving their vain orders and demanding — that they be sent back to them, so that they may take hold of the work of the land or, indeed, respond since you are being summoned to me according to the decision of the leadership, preserving for me what I have justly. May it be successful."
