To Dionysodoros, the general, from Setabouetos, the younger of the Hergeos, from the island of Soknopaiou, of Herakleidou's portion.
I have made a useful agreement with Harpagathes, Panefrommios of the same village, according to the written agreement of the loan of silver (drachmas) for the interest of the loan established, which Harpagathos has acknowledged according to the loan agreement, that he shall not touch the things given to him from the sacred [place] that are subject to and philanthropic [donations], except for the previous payment of the loan and the interest. In the current year of Tiberius Caesar, with all the injustice of Harpagathos not wishing to remain in accordance with the lawful terms of the loan agreement, but attempting to seize the obligations imposed on him from the sacred [place] that are subject to and philanthropic, having approached the general, I demand that I be deprived and I demand, being subject to the copy of the loan agreement, if it seems fitting to draft a letter to the leader of the priests of the village and to the other chief men as it is necessary to return to me the debts owed by Harpagathos from the obligations imposed on him by the philanthropic communities, so that I may be benefitted by you.
May you prosper in the year one and forty of the reign of Caesar, son of God, in the month of Phamenoth, from Setabouetos, the younger of the Hergeos, from the island of Soknopaiou, of the priests, to Harpagathes, Panefrommios.
