"After the consulship of Flavius I, of the most illustrious (one), Mesor(?), Aurelius Panouphis, son of Heirai, from the settlement in the region, the church of the Hermopolites greets you; I acknowledge that I owe and am indebted for the seven gold coins, which are to be given to you whenever you wish, without delay, as I have them ready to hand over to you. If you should depart, I have called upon you without any further delay, being subject to this debt of mine, just as it is from the law. This letter is authoritative and certain."
