ἀπὸ Ἑρμοῦ πόλεως ἀξιωθεὶς ἔγραψα ὑπὲρ αὐτοῦ γράμματα μὴ εἰδότος.

From the city of Hermes, I have rented as it is proposed.

From the city of Hermes, having been deemed worthy, I wrote letters on his behalf without his knowledge.

From the city of Hermes, I bear witness to the lease, having heard from the one who set it.

Through me, Theodosius, with God, the contract was written, Lord help.

From Hermopolis, having been requested, I wrote
[on behalf of him who does not know letters †. (hand 2) Aurelius] Ioannes son of Kollouthos from Hermopolis, I testify to the lease,
[having heard] from the one who made it. † (hand 3) Aurelius Phoibammon son of Menas
[From Hermopolis] I testify to the lease, having heard from the one who made it. †
