To Apollonius, one of the first friends, and to the general, and concerning the revenues from the priests of the great god Soknopaios and Isis Seneferu, the greatest goddess and of the associated gods and royal farmers from Soknopaios Island.
In the year of Epiph, having observed us engaged in the city of Crocodiles, Petesouchos, the priest of the great god Soknopaios, having descended into Dionysiada and having accounted for the farmers among us, Teos and Stototin, as having been sent by us for the reception of the offerings of the sacred land of the great god Soknopaios, having violently compelled them at the harvest, he has brought forth fire (of the offerings) upon the house of Paalatos, concerning which you encountered us at the Premis in the same month and having called upon the Paalasians, you have reported the fire of the great god Soknopaios, concerning which the royal oath has been written by Petesouchos the priest concerning not touching the offerings of the land in any way in the event of our dealings with him concerning the priesthood of the year and having been established the matters of the writing. Therefore, since you have saved us in the sickness by the great god Soknopaios and Isis Seneferu, the greatest goddess and of the associated gods, we request if it seems good to arrange to record our memorandum with you in a financial matter concerning the forthcoming situation for us with Petesouchos the priest, so that he may not be able to touch the fire and write to Apollonius the overseer to establish him with you for the execution of these matters, and if this should happen, we may receive assistance, so that if these things are thus, we may carry the offerings (of the fire) into the word of the god, concerning which violence and writing may be taken concerning him, being half-hearted towards the knowledge of others, so that we may be able to fulfill the things deemed necessary for the gods on behalf of the king and the royal children, having received your assistance. May it be fortunate.
