To Flavius Sisinnius,
To the most distinguished and universal (governor) from Aurelius Ammon of Petearbeschini, a scholar from the city of Panopolis of Thebes.
Since Eugenios is a memorialist and I, Ammon, being friends among us, were present in the city of Panopolis, from the justiciary and the poet Apollon, and another of Horion, we have made a written agreement concerning slaves in Alexandria now existing in this splendid city, under the possessions of my brother, and in this agreement I do not know on whose behalf I was summoned to accept such a deadline, so that within twenty days from the seventh and eighteenth of the past month I might come to Alexandria, in order that the matter might be concluded. Now, two days before the aforementioned Eugenios, I did not meet him nor am I able to find him; therefore today I publicly testify, that it is the thirteenth of Choiak, before other days of the deadline, being assured and I demand that this my guarantee be laid down in order, until he arrives so that no pretext may be put forward against him, and I demand that the things I have proposed be brought before your greatness, master, through the tabularius of the city on this day.
Of the consulship of Flavius Philippus the most illustrious governor of the sacred praetorium and Flavius Salias the most illustrious magistrate of horsemen, the thirteenth of Choiak.
Aurelius Ammon I have proposed as is appropriate.
