Antiphilus to Callistratus, greetings and good health. I happened to be writing to Petosouchos regarding your being foreseen in the sowing of the field and how it is to be given to him into the vessel of Melankomos and the watering of the copper Chera. Please clarify for me whether you have rented to Theodotus as I have written to you and regarding the lot of Xenenein, or whether you have rented similarly. And since they have been purchased through Petosouchos of the lot (of wheat) 1, of barley 2, and into these he has the linen (of barley) 3, having done well with the remaining (of barley) 4. Consider with which you are giving us the lots of barley and with which we have had (of barley) 5, with which we have purchased (of barley) 6, as it is into (fields) in the lot (fields) 7, in that of Archios (fields) 8, in that of Xenenein (fields) 9, in that of Demetrios (fields) 10 (they are made). Tell the sister to send me the draft, so that I may write it by hand, and if anyone owes for wheat, let him be well.

Καλλιστράτῳ
Antiphilos to Kallistratos, his brother, greetings and good health.
I had already written also to Petosouchos concerning the arrangement for you regarding the sowing of chickling (arakos), and that copper coins should be given to him for the digging of Melankomos' canal and for the irrigation of Cheras.
Inform me clearly whether you have leased to Theodotos as I had written to you, and also concerning the plot of Xeneinetos, or if you have leased it similarly.
And since there have been purchased through Petosouchos ten artabas of lotus-seed, twenty artabas of wheat, and for these there are eleven artabas of flax-seed, you will do well to give the remaining nine artabas.
Calculate together with the artabas of lotus-seed you are giving us, and those eight artabas we previously had, along with the ten artabas we have purchased, so that there are altogether: in the allotment 20 arouras, in Archias' land 23 arouras, in Xeneinetos' land 35 arouras, and in Demetrios' land 10 arouras, making a total of 88 arouras.
Tell my sister to send me the receipt, so that I may sign it, and if anyone owes you grain.
Farewell.
To Kallistratos.
