To Julius Saturninus,
Strategos of Heracleopolis,
from Petesouchus, Pisitios,
son of Thenamenneus of the village of Anchyrons. I declare
in the year of the lord Antoninus Caesar,
according to the orders given
by Valerius Proclus, the governor, regarding the property that is mine (half) part
of the house and the estate.
I am:
Petesouchus (aged) 42, without a mark,
my wife Tawsiris Pareitios (aged) 34,
my son Pnephoros (aged) 17,
my other son Psenamounis (aged) 5, without a mark.
(hand 2) Pnephoros, his son, having become
17 (years old) in a foreign land.
(hand 1) I have, however, in the same village
other buildings and my wife Tawsiris has other buildings.
And I swear by the Emperor
Caesar Titus Aelius
Hadrianus Antoninus
Augustus Eusebius
good fortune and the god of the law,
Heracles, to grant me in health and
in truth the intended declaration
and that I have not denied anything nor
left anything owed by me to be declared nor any agreement
to have been made nor to have opposed
the judgment
(*)
or that I may be liable to the oath.
