Ἡρακλείδης Σαταβοῦτι τῷ φιλτάτ(ῳ) χαίρειν.
ἐτάξου μοι πρὸ τῆς τοῦ Φαῶφι ἐλθεῖν ἐπὶ τὰς κρόκας καὶ τὸν στή-
μονα τῶν ἱματίων, καὶ οὐκ ἦλθες.
καλῶς οὖν ποιήσῃς ἐξαυτῆς ἐλεύ-
σῃ πρὸς ἐμὲ. δεῖ γὰρ αὐτὰ ἕως τῆς δεκάτης ἐκτμηθῆναι,
μή ποτε χρεία γένηται κατα-
πλεῦσαί με εἰς πόλιν. ἐὰν δὲ μὴ μέλλῃς ἔρχεσθαι, πάλιν μοι
ἐξαυτῆς φάσιν πέμψον, ἵνα ὧδε αὐτὰ ἀναβαλῶ. βλέπε

Translation

Heracleides to Satabouthis, my dearest, greetings.
You had arranged for me to come before the (date) of Phaiophis to the crocus and the pillar of the garments, and you did not come.
Therefore, you will do well to come to me immediately. For it is necessary that they be cut off by the tenth, lest at any time a need arise for me to sail into the city.
But if you do not intend to come, send me again a message, so that I may postpone them here.
Therefore, see that you do not act otherwise.
