Hermes to Apollonios,

Having considered it to be the best
to examine the matters that have been signified,
to be included in the calculations
of public and private lands,
to take along local dignitaries
in order not to be misled
in the matters of the landholders of private property,
having written down the names,
I have sent them to you,
my lord, if it seems good,
you will command that they be transmitted
and immediately come to me
along with the secretary of the mother city.
I wish you to be well,
my lord.

that respectable local persons
familiar with the measurement
of public and private lands
be included,
so that the surveyors
may not go astray
in those areas [ . . . ]
of the owners of private land,
I have written down the names
and sent them to you,
my lord, so that, if it seems good to you,
you may order them to be informed
and that these persons immediately
come to me,
along with the secretary of the metropolis.
