Amuntas to Criton, greetings. Charminus, who is delivering this letter to you, is the son of Heracleides, from the sacred priesthood, sent by both his father and the others who hold the gift. It is indeed pleasing to me that you have made haste so that he may receive it as quickly as possible, and if he boards a ship, for he is inexperienced; but if not, taking the coin sealed from him and sending it to us, so that we may return it to them. You will do me a favor by making haste so that he receives it as quickly as possible, and if a ship is sailing, put him aboard, for he is inexperienced. If not, at least take the sealed small coin from him and send it to us, so that we ourselves may deliver it to them. Farewell.
