Greetings from Aphrodite of Ammon. I have rented from the public concerning the village of Hephaistiadon from those of the administration, previously belonging to Heracleides, one and a half arouras of land from the wheat, and likewise concerning the same village from the uncultivated land, two arouras, and four arouras in total for the same purpose. I agree according to this handwritten document that each of us shall share equally in the half portion of the produce of these lands, for the time during which I have rented them, of all the works and seeds that are common to us, so that we may reap the fruit of the four arouras equally.

Regarding the lands which I have leased from the public property around the village of Hephaistiada, from the produce registered by the administration, previously belonging to Herakleides, namely one and a half arouras of wheat-land and similarly around the same village two arouras of uncultivated land, making altogether four arouras, I acknowledge by this written agreement that we shall jointly and equally cultivate these lands, each of us having a half share, for the duration of the lease. All labor and seed shall be shared equally between us, on condition that we shall equally share the produce of the aforementioned four arouras.
