πατὴρ ἢ μήτηρ, μὴ ἄλλῳ ἀνδρὶ συνοικοῦσα· ἐὰν δὲ μηθεὶς τούτων ᾖ,
ἀδελφοὶ ὁμόπατριοι· ἐὰν δὲ μηδὲ οὗτοι ὦσιν, ἀδελφὲ ὁμοπάτριοι·
ἐὰν δὲ μηθὶς τούτων ᾖ, πατρὸς δὲ πατὴρ ἢ πατρὸς μήτηρ ἢ ἀνεψιὸς ἀπὸ πατρὸς γεγεννημένος,
τούτων ἡ κληρονομία ἔστω. ἐὰν δὲ μηθὶς τούτων ὑπάρχῃ, βασιλικὴ ἡ οὐσία ἔστω.

Of the inheritances of those who have died, let them be given to the closest relatives.
These are the closest relatives: if there are no children left or if you adopt according to the law,
a father or mother, not living with another man; but if none of these exist,
brothers of the same father; but if these are not present, brothers of the same father;
but if none of these exist, let the inheritance be from the father’s father or the father’s mother or a cousin born from the father.
If none of these exist, let the royal estate be. And according to these, let the closest relatives also be.
