"To Philomitor, greetings from Soter. Demetrius, a resident of the foot soldiers living in the region of Themis. In the month of Choiak of the year, I lent to Theoteimos son of Phileus, a Persian of the descendants of those living in the Theadelphia of the same region of Arsinoe, barley (artabas), and in the month of Mecheir of the same year, other barley (artabas), likewise also in the month of Phamenoth of the year, other barley (artabas). All the barley (artabas) according to three writings, through one (artabas), through another, through which it was made known, both to make and to give me the return of the specified barley (artabas) in the times defined by the contracts or to extend to me each (artabas) of bronze (drachmas) G. With these being present and the times of the return having passed and other occurrences having happened, the one being called, having been asked many times, does not willingly endure to give back, being pressed down by the good condition and the transactions. Therefore, I ask you for refuge, having been made, to send me the petition to those in charge of the places, whose introducer is Dositheus, so that having chosen it into a state and having called upon Theon through Demetrius the accountant, they may decide that it be done for me the specified payment of the barley (artabas) of liquid (drachmas) G, the collected bronze (talents) L (drachmas) Dph, according to the writings. With these things having been done, I will be helped. Farewell."

To the Philometores Soteres, greetings.
Demetrios, inhabitant of the infantry settlers residing in Euhemeria of the division of Themistos.
In the month of Choiak of the (specified) year, I lent to Theoteimos son of Phileas, a Persian of the epigone (descendants) of the settlers in Theadelphia of the same division of the Arsinoite nome,
seven and a half artabas of wheat, and in the month of Mecheir of the same year another forty-five artabas, and similarly in the month of Phaophi of the 51st year another twenty-five artabas,
making altogether seventy-seven and a half artabas of wheat, according to three written agreements, one for seven and a half, another for forty-five,
in which it was stated among other things that he would repay me the aforementioned seventy-seven and a half artabas at the times specified in the contracts, or else pay me three drachmas of bronze for each artaba.
Although these conditions were set and the repayment deadlines have passed, and even more time has elapsed,
the accused, despite repeated demands, refuses voluntarily to repay, disregarding what is proper and the agreements.
Therefore, having recourse to you, I request that you forward my petition to the local judges, whose introducer is Dositheos,
so that, after examining the matter and summoning Theon through Demetrios the logeutes, they may decide that he must pay me the fixed price per artaba, three drachmas (of bronze),
totaling seventy-eight talents and five hundred drachmas of bronze, according to the contracts. If this is done, I shall be assisted.
Farewell.
