Dioscorus
To Hermaios of Hermopolis, to Metokos and to Horion, both of Hermaios and Asclepiades of Callistratus, greetings to the Hermopolitans. I confess willingly that I have received and have been established as Menandros, the secretary of Dionysios, of Senkyrkes and Tachois and of other villages of the Leucopyrgites, whom I will present whenever you choose; but if I do not present, I myself will be the one to present you as I will receive the deposit. (In the year) b of the Emperor Caesar Trajan Hadrian, the August, Mecheir 15.
