To Flavius Panolbius, a respected citizen and a member of the Antaean community,
son of the illustrious memory of John, who served
under Aurelius Victor, from the father Psaius, shepherd from the village
of Aphrodite of the same district. I voluntarily and freely acknowledge
to have rented from your excellency for this current year the sowing of produce,
with God willing, of the twelfth indiction, the existing fields belonging to her in the place called
Sarapamon, being arid, situated in the plain of
the village of Phthla, from the inheritance of the landholders of the blessed
John Trifiodorus, according to the apparent neighbors, in order that I may
carry out all agricultural work and pay
the tax to your excellency for each field, according to the measurement
of the cord of the light, two artabas,
and of the barley, two artabas,
being measured only by the official measure without doubt. The rent is valid
