† After the consulship of Flavius Basilius, the most illustrious, on the 4th of Phaophi, in the first indiction. †
To the most admirable Menas, son of Phoibammon, from the village of Aphrodite in the Antaiopolite nome, from Aurelius John, son of Hermaos, of Pse[...], from the same village. I have willingly and voluntarily leased from you for the present year, from the crops, with God's help, in the second indiction, your share of the unirrigated arouras called "of Isidoros," near the boundaries, on condition that I cultivate it and pay you the rent in full and without drought (may it not happen), six artabas of wheat by the measure of your father-in-law Phoibammon. The lease is valid, and upon being questioned, I acknowledged it.
† I, Aurelius John, son of Hermaos, the aforementioned, have leased as stated above. †
I, Hates ...aios, presbyter, having been requested, wrote on his behalf, as he does not know letters.
Written through me, Cyrus, the notary.
