8. l. μετηλλαχυίας
8. l. γυναικὸς
To Aurelius Horeion, son of Theon, the president (or colleague) of the splendid and most illustrious city of the Oxyrhynchites, in the current year 14 and year 13 and year 6, from Marcus Aurelius Silvanus Sarapion, also called Sarapiades, son of Antiochus, whose mother is Tapsois, from the same city. I wish first to register my son Aurelius Ammon, born to me and to my deceased wife Aurelia Tapsois.
(*) The original text contains scribal errors or unclear forms. The apparatus criticus suggests corrections:
- "μετηλλαχυειης" should read "μετηλλαχυίας" (meaning "deceased").
- "γυνεκὸς" should read "γυναικὸς" (genitive singular of "woman/wife").
Thus, the corrected phrase is "καὶ μετηλλαχυίας γυναικὸς" ("and of my deceased wife").
