Φιλάμμω̣ν̣ι̣ Apparatus
Serapion Apollonides to Philammon, greetings. Having arrived, I bring you what you sent to us, the wine. For we seemed to you to be conversing as if we were strangers. For if we had wished to buy food without being at the drink, we would not have troubled you. Therefore, know that the wine is laid out for you. Farewell.

Sarapion, son of Apollonides,
to Philammon, greetings.
Upon your arrival, receive the small quantities of wine which you have sent to us.
For we appeared to be speaking to you as if to a stranger.
For if we had wished to buy provisions without being drinkers,
we would not have troubled you.
Know, therefore, that the wine is reserved for you.
Farewell.
To Philammon.
