To Flavius Philagrius, the most illustrious governor of Egypt, from the illustrious and most brilliant city of Oxyrhynchus, granting a truly beneficent type and to the lenders, to provide something beyond the lawful interest, nor to desire to encroach upon the matters of those who have lent. I borrowed from a certain Pasoit and his wife, having entered into the necessity that contained me at that time, five hundred drachmas, but concerning the interest, and thus they made me to undertake a part of my house; after the transaction had taken place, then the standing of the matter of the deposit was shown. Therefore, since the house has been established, of the time of the standing, I ask for help to be given to me, the syndic who will receive them, the silver along with the lawful interest of the hundredths, to restore the documents to me, so that I may obtain my rights. (It is) to be successful.
