Θεοφάνει ἀγαπητῶι ἀδελφῶι
Ἰωάννης καὶ Λέων χαίρειν.
ἀναγκαῖον ἡγησάμεθα προσαγορεύσαί σε διὰ γραμμάτων, εὐχόμενοι ὑγιαίνοντί σοι καὶ ἐν πᾶσιν εὐθυμοῦντι δοθῆναι τὴν ἐπιστολήν·
εὐχόμεθα δὲ καὶ ἐν τάχει σε ἀπολαβεῖν ὁλοκληροῦντα.
ἀσπάζονταί σε πάντες οἱ σὺν ἡμῖν ἀδελφοὶ καὶ Διονύσιος ὁ ἀπὸ Ἀττίνου ὁ συντυχών σοι ἐν τῇ Ἀθρίβει.
ἐρρῶσθαί σε πολλοῖς χρόνοις εὐχόμεθα.

Translation into English

To Theophanes, beloved brother,
John and Leon greet you.
We deemed it necessary to address you by letters, wishing you to be in good health and to receive this letter with all joy;
we also wish that you may soon receive it in full.
All the brothers who are with us greet you, and Dionysius from Attica who meets you in Athribis.
We wish you to be strong for many times.
