In the year of the 15th of the Emperor Caesar Domitian Augustus, of the German month of Peritius, in Choiakh, in Karani of Heracleides, the citizen of the Arsinoite nome, Markos Sempronius Gemellos, a soldier of the third Cyrenian legion of Pomponius Seuerus, acknowledges that he owes 40 silver drachmas of the left foot's ankle of Mikkalos Ptolemaios, 45 silver drachmas, and that he is to pay immediately through the hand of the house of silver, 240 drachmas and the interest owed to him by Mikkalos according to a completed loan through the office in Alexandria in the 13th year of Emperor Caesar Domitian Augustus, of the German month of Pharmouthi. And Markos Sempronius Gemellos has given this in cancellation and declares that he will not pursue either Markos Sempronius Gemellos or those with him regarding Mikkalos or those with him, nor regarding what he owes, as it pertains to 240 silver drachmas and their interest, nor regarding any other matter whatsoever, whether recorded or unrecorded, from previous times until the present day, in any manner whatsoever, the record shall be valid everywhere as it is the acknowledged principal.

In the fifteenth year of Emperor Caesar Domitian Augustus Germanicus, month Peritios, 1st day, Choiak 1st, in Karanis of the Herakleides division of the Arsinoite nome: Marcus Sempronius Gemellus, soldier of the third Cyrenaic legion, centuria of Pomponius Severus, about forty years old, with a scar on the ankle of his left foot, acknowledges to Mikkalos son of Ptolemaios, about forty-five years old, with a scar in the middle of his forehead beneath the hairline, that he has received from him immediately, by hand, from his house, one thousand two hundred forty silver drachmas and their interest, which Mikkalos owed him according to a loan completed through the office in Alexandria in the thirteenth year of Emperor Caesar Domitian Augustus Germanicus, on the 9th of Pharmouthi. Marcus Sempronius Gemellus has returned this to him for cancellation and agrees not to proceed against Mikkalos nor against anyone associated with him, neither concerning the aforementioned sum of one thousand two hundred forty drachmas nor concerning their interest nor concerning any other matter or debt whatsoever, nor any written or unwritten transaction from previous times until the present day, in any manner. Let this agreement be valid everywhere, as indeed the agreed terms are valid.
Marcus Sempronius Gemellus, soldier of the third Cyrenaic legion, centuria of Pomponius Severus, I acknowledge that I have received from Mikkalos son of Ptolemaios the one thousand two hundred forty silver drachmas and their interest, which he owed me according to a loan completed through the office in Alexandria in the thirteenth year of Domitian the lord, month Pharmouthi, and I have returned them for cancellation and invalidation, and I will not proceed concerning any matter whatsoever, written or unwritten, as stated above.
