Translation into English

And to send to us those who have been appointed through your administration, sailors by the word of ships and of other vessels — we permitted to Egypt in the eighth indiction.
(*) to the son
(*)
Soraeik to hire the remaining ones through you to the appointed regulation in our orders.
Therefore, receiving the present letters, send them with all brevity to the knowledge of the inner part of this present letter.
The gold of their wages should not be lacking from it, one coin and only.
For we know that it is of no concern to you, nor to the matters of the land, to execute or to give an end to any work as long as you do not require it, on behalf of those who are remaining through you unless it is towards the regulation that is set forth in our orders.
But we will not allow the matters to be thus.
For we do not intend to equate the sufficient, useful, and fulfilling with contempt; those through it to the incapable in the permitted matters to him through us by means of bribery. Therefore, if you have sense, execute the commission through our letters, let nothing be forgotten to refer to something from these but rather diligently fulfill.
It was written in the month of Thoth,
13
of the indiction.
