I acknowledge through this written security or declaration that I willingly and firmly have the intention to safeguard my existence in general and specifically the untroubled, the unharmful, and the safe from all the most magnificent common lords and governors, from the illustrious Julian of the most magnificent, from the rulers and the most glorious Patrician through the illustrious lord Mena, her governor and governor, whether concerning the aforementioned public matters and the entry of the essence and the good will, again concerning the mentioned damages and other losses, on the pretext of the aforementioned village, to make and fulfill your land in all and every income that falls to me, to receive and gather diligently and to pay into these and to bring to you the account of each head and each return and to hide nothing until one drachma, nor indeed anything else, and to provide a dreadful oath concerning this to you in whatever you wish in holy places, and if it should happen that you should be left behind in any way after the release of the aforementioned public and other capitals and expenses as I have previously stated, to share with you in the burden that falls upon you according to half and to endanger as every accounting to set and fulfill the aforementioned public and other obligations near the aforementioned governors and tax collectors of them, being over the belonging to the aforementioned concerning public and expenses, acknowledging this and not allowing any movement or slander to arise against you in court or outside of court, but to pay attention to all the village in the rights of the aforementioned just privileges, and even if you are in the village and even if you are a foreigner as from the face of you acting and to do nothing by deceit or negligence, but to execute everything with diligence and accuracy and zeal, and if ever I should be found after me to place the aforementioned divine oath in the holy places having committed some deceit until one drachma upon me, to know and I will be liable to the divine oath and the matter concerning this being in danger and being in agreement with all the aforementioned agreements and declarations swearing by the Almighty God and the divine and heavenly fortune of the one who conquers all, the lord of the universe, Flavius Justinian, the eternal Augustus, to preserve this declaration for you always unshakable and unmovable and unregrettable and unchangeable, but to have a sovereign power and a strong assurance upon every authority and power presented which I have simply ordered to be written and signed by you with my hand and the usual witnesses according to the laws. And if I should wish to transgress and not to abide by the previously declared agreements, I acknowledge to give you a penalty by word of inquiry and breach of gold of six works and power required from you concerning all the written and concerning the part of them and the capital and concerning the establishment of the penalty of all my possessions that you have and concerning all matters justly and generally by the word of pledge and of deposit just as from judgment and upon all the written, having been questioned I acknowledged.
