"... drachmas ... eight ... if he does not repay as it is written, let it be permitted to Ophelas ... to enter upon and possess the aforementioned [arouras (plots of land)] together with those who will receive them from him for all time, and to collect the produce from them annually ... neither against Ophelas nor against those from him nor against the plots nor against any part nor against the produce from them in any manner whatsoever, but it shall also be compulsory to provide Ophelas and those from him the three plots forever secure from all claims, with every guarantee, free from public taxes and all other charges from previous times until the stated deadline and including the deadline itself. If the borrower violates any of these conditions, let it be invalid and let him pay in addition to Ophelas or those from him, according to whatever violation he commits, both damages and a penalty of three hundred drachmas of silver, and an equal amount to the public treasury. The silver shall be paid immediately with an additional half (50% penalty), together with the appropriate interest from the time of violation, and the right of execution shall belong to Ophelas against the borrower and all his property as if by legal judgment."
