Achilles to Sarapias and Thermouthes, greetings.
And apart from writing to me, I think and you have been mindful of my garments that have been taken from my father, knowing my intention as if you were perceiving it.
Therefore, I write to you so that you may act upon them to make them a very thin saffron.
For I found a stamnos for twenty drachmas and very thin.
And indeed, I buy there a purple for the drachmas of the staters of the whole.
And you should declare these to me and what is necessary I will also do.
I wish you to be well.

Achilles to Sarapias and Thermouthis, greetings.
Even without my writing, I suppose you have taken care of my garments, those left behind by my father, knowing my preference, as you are aware. Therefore, I am writing to you so that, working on them, you may make them with a very fine (thin) thread. For I have found warp-thread at eight drachmas per twenty-weight, and it is very fine indeed. Also, I am buying purple dye there at four drachmas per stater-weight. Please inform me clearly about these matters, and whatever else is necessary, I will do.
I pray for your good health.
To Sarapias and her mother, from Achilles.
