In the fifth year of the Emperor Caesar Titus Aelius Hadrianus Antoninus Augustus, in the month of Hadrian, in Apia of the division of Themis of the law of Arsinoe. Marcus Julius Apolinarius is released from military service as he is of fifty-eight years old. He has agreed to pay the existing debt of three hundred and forty drachmas of silver immediately through hand and with all assurance. Marcus Julius Apolinarius, a veteran discharged from military service, about fifty-eight years old, with a scar on the left eyebrow, acknowledges to Seimarios son of Sokrates, about twenty-five years old, without distinguishing marks, that he has sold to him the donkey belonging to him, a first-foal, of such a kind, without defect, and that he has received from him the agreed-upon price of three hundred forty silver drachmas immediately in hand, and the seller guarantees this sale with every guarantee.
Subscriber for the seller: Gaius Petronius Firmus, about thirty-four years old, flat-nosed, with a scar on the right eye.
