To Lucius Trebius Proclus, the most esteemed general, from Philippus and Charitius, both residents of Aphrodisius of Philippus, those in Arsinoe, concerning the men of the Greeks, and concerning Charitius with my lord Philippus. The mother of both, Didymarion, passed away still from the year 5 of the god Hadrian, upon our heirs. Then, according to the laws, we took possession of the existing properties and four slave bodies and all their descendants and deposits. But our aforementioned father Aphrodisius, all the while being in opposition, later came together with Sarapias and Athenarios, and as it was, it became unreasonable to demand anything of our own, disregarding the assistance concerning us. Therefore, from then until now, all things being taken into account, and the bodies being accounted for, he arranged for everything to be recorded in the name of his wife, although our father being a provider and being in a state of need. Therefore, we ourselves, being in need, because I, Philippus, have been in public necessities and necessarily making the refuge to you, the benefactor, we demand that the things be restored to us along with the uses of everything, and also of the bodies for the descendants, so that we may also be helped by you.
