Flavius Christodorus, son of Theodoros, a praepositus of this governing class of the city of Antinoopolis, from which I also am originating, to Aurelia Euphemia, daughter of Theodoros, a widow of a man from the same city of Antinoopolis, greetings. I, the undersigned Christodorus, praepositus, acknowledge through this present document of security to have received and to have borrowed from you by hand into my hands and for necessary needs a gold coin of one from the six drachmas of the public treasury of Antinoopolis, it becomes a gold coin from the same public treasury. And I am ready to provide this to you and to all my heirs whenever you wish through the authorities over you, conducting the affairs with this according to the month of interest, namely, two hundred and fifty talents of silver, without any ignorance and imposition, being subject to all of my possessions and future possessions; and for your security I have placed this letter for you, being duly signed and certain everywhere, and having been asked about everything, I acknowledged that indeed under this [I have] placed for you a pledge of a linen cloth from Tarsus, Egyptian and a garment of fine quality.
