[To Theon], general of Arsinoe, of Themistes and Polemon, regarding the portions from Ptolemy, of Diodorus and Dioscorus, the hired steward of the substantial grove, concerning the village of Theadelpheia of the portion of Themistes and others. Many times, having approached me, to Apollonius, the coastal guardian and to the one who sows the places, many substitutions were made to him, having made [while] present in the village, still flourishing of the Nile, before or even the waters should flow into the lands, to provide the customary and self-sufficient waters to the proposed grove, and until now being slandered by them, they did not wish to provide, of the most sacred Nile, the final ascent having been borne and all the debt owed, of the grove until today, being most needy. For indeed, there were very few waters and it was barren from the outflows and not even one from the womb having been formed; hence, unable to be at ease, I demand that this distinction be equally transmitted to both the coastal guardian and also to the sower of the places, to the Tyrant through some of your servants, to fill the proposed grove or to let them know, if indeed any harm should follow from this, to give an account to the most illustrious governor and the most powerful commissioner. For when the proposed grove has been dried up to the ground and the offspring and the wombs have been diminished, not only does harm follow from the appellate tax, but also for three years thereafter until the grove has offspring and wombs for growth, the grove suffers harm; I remain in regard to the coastal guardian the account concerning which I have regarding this distinction concerning the same grove for the eighth year having been provided under the most powerful general.
