I, the aforementioned Phoibammon, son of Triadelphos, owner, acknowledge that I will pay the agreed contribution for the aforementioned property belonging to the holy monastery called Psentousetos, located in the Libyan plain of the same village, in the district of Tchioutos, west of my property called "of the dyers," to the authority of the aforementioned holy monastery of Abba Sourous, through the most God-loving Kollouchios, monk and superior, through you, the most reverent Ioannes Samuelios, priest and administrator, in grain, gold payments, shipping charges, and all kinds of annona-related taxes, for the registration in the public codex of the illustrious memory of Ioannes, former scholasticus and censitor, if it should so happen, another measurement in the Antaiopolite nome, beginning from the harvest of the fortunate upcoming fifteenth indiction and thereafter, until the complete fulfillment of the aforementioned property, so that I shall give you annually twenty artabas of clean wheat by your freight measure and fifty vessels of new wine, each vessel containing six sextarii, the empty vessels being provided by you, amounting to twenty artabas of wheat and fifty vessels of wine only, the wheat at threshing time and the wine at vintage time. If anyone among us attempts to violate and not abide by this eternal and written agreement, the non-abiding party shall pay the abiding party, as a penalty for questioning and violation, three ounces of gold, enforceable by law and authority, this written agreement remaining valid and enforceable everywhere, having been written in duplicate, mutually agreed upon by us for all the aforementioned terms and for the collection of the aforementioned penalty, pledging all movable, immovable, and self-moving property of the aforementioned monastery and of the aforementioned Phoibammon, as security and pledge, as if by court decision. Having mutually questioned and been questioned, we have agreed to uphold, fulfill, and maintain these terms perpetually, as we have acknowledged by our signatures and those of the customary witnesses.
