By the word of the deposit, I have one arable land of the farmer called Piah Kalavoutas, the former having been named in the name of Kollouthos, your brother, by the word of the price of the same farmer, five golden ounces, and I acknowledge the danger to myself and the means of my general and specific status to safeguard and restore the aforementioned arable land to you, safe and unthreatened, and unaccountable, whether you wish this in the same village of Aphrodite, and until I do this, you have the authority, both you and the aforementioned, to maintain all of my status over all authority and power until the aforementioned price is recognized by you and after that, also to have the possession and lordship over the aforementioned Phoibammon, or rather, unassailable and unaffected by anyone of this my status, concerning which I have established this security with my signature and the subsequent customary witnesses, and having been asked about everything, I have agreed.

On account of a deposit, [I acknowledge] the previously mentioned one aroura of farmland called Piah Kalauoutos, formerly registered in the name of Kollouthos, your brother, from the same farmland, at the price of five gold ounces.
And I acknowledge, at my own risk and from my own resources, generally and specifically, to guard and restore to you the aforementioned aroura unharmed, without risk, and without dispute, whenever and however you wish, in the same village Aphrodite. Until I do this, you and the aforementioned person have authority to hold all my property under every authority and power until I repay you double the aforementioned price. After this, you, the said Phoibammon, shall have possession and ownership, free from insult and interference by anyone, of all my property mentioned above, concerning which I have made this security agreement, with my signature and the customary witnesses attesting. Having been questioned about everything, I have agreed.
