Παώπιος βασιλικὸς γεωργὸς τετραυματισμένος· ἀπήγγελλεν ἡμῖν φάμενος, ἐπέθεντο αὑτῶι τινες κατὰ τὴν Λιθίνην διώρυ[γ]α.
ἡμεῖς οὖν συνώσαμεν ὡσεὶ ἀπὸ νότου τῆς κώμης βουλόμενοι αἰσθέσθαι τὰ γεγενημένα.
συνηντήσαμεν Μανρῆς Ὀρσήους ὡσαύτως τετραυματισμένος. ἐρωτώμενος δὲ ὑφʼ ἡμῶν, τίνες οἵ εἴησαν, οὐκ ἔφησαν ἐπιγινώσκειν αὐτούς·
ἀλλʼ αὐτῶν ἔφασαν τινὲς τετραυματίσται ὑφʼ ἡμῶν κοντοῖς. τῆι ⟦δ̣ὲ̣⟧ ιβ ἀκούομεν δὲ τίνες εἰσὶν τῶν ἐκ τῆς κώμης ⟦εἰ̣σ̣ὶ̣ν⟧,
ὧν τὰ ὀνόματα ὑπόκειταί σοι· Πᾶσις Σεμθέως, Ὧρος Ὀννώφριος, Πάις Μανρήους, Ὧρος Ἀπύνχιος σιτομέτρης.
ἀναζητούντων δὲ ἡμ[ῶν] οὐχ εὑρίσκαμεν αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ τοῦ παρόντος. ἐὰν δὲ προσπέσωνται ἡμῖν, ἀνάξομ[ε]ν [α]ὐτοὺς ἐπὶ σέ.
γέγραφα οὖν σοι ὅπως εἰδῆις. ἔρρωσο (ἔτους) ια Παχὼν ιε.
Apparatus
Peteminus Protarcho greetings; on the 14th of Pachon, while we were guarding our village, we met at night with Pasis,
a royal farmer, Paopios, who was wounded. He reported to us, saying that some had attacked him at the Lithinian canal.
Therefore, we gathered from the south of the village, wishing to learn what had happened.
We also met Manres, a wounded Orsian. When asked by us who they were, they did not say they recognized them;
but they said that some of them had been wounded by us in close quarters.
We hear that some of those from the village are present, whose names are listed for you: Pasis Semtheos, Horus Onnophrius, Pais Manreus, Horus Apynchios, the grain measurer.
While we were searching for them, we did not find them at present. If they come to us, we will bring them to you.

Peteminis to Protarchos, greetings. On the 11th of Pachon, while we were patrolling the village at night, we encountered Pasis, son of Paopis, a royal farmer, wounded. He reported to us, saying that certain individuals had attacked him near the Lithine canal. Therefore, we hurried from the south of the village, wishing to ascertain what had happened. We encountered Manres, son of Orseus, likewise wounded. When asked by us who the attackers were, they said they did not recognize them; however, they said some of them had been wounded by us with spears. On the 12th, we heard who some of them from the village were, whose names are listed for you: Pasis, son of Semtheus; Horos, son of Onnophris; Pais, son of Manres; Horos, son of Apynchios, the grain-measurer.
