τὸ δ]οθέν μοι βιβλίδιον χωρὶς ὀνόματος
καὶ ἐντυγχάνω μὲν ἅπασι ἡγοῦμαι δὲ τοῖς
γ]ράμμασι πιστεύειν ἐν οἷς διαβολαὶ
ἐκ]είνων ἄνευ δὲ ἐλέγχων γείνεται
οὐ̣δὲ ἔλεγχος οὐδέ τις γεί[νετ]αι

"Likewise, Gaius Valerius Eudaimon, governor of Egypt, says: The book given to me without a name, and I happen to believe in all the letters in which there are accusations against those without any refutations. Neither is there any refutation nor does anyone arise."

Likewise, Gaius Valerius Eudaemon, prefect [of Egypt], says:

the letters in which accusations
against those persons occur without proofs,
