English Translation

To Claudius Areius, strategos of the Arsinoite nome,
Herakleides division,
from Petesouchos, Petsiris, and Pnepheros, the three sons of Petheus,
from the village of Karanis.
We have paid on behalf of our younger brother Petesouchos
into the account of the estate of Kameliane
fifteen artabas of wheat,
because he has disappeared.
Therefore, we request that you instruct the village chief of Karanis
to undertake a search for him,
so that he may fulfill his obligations to us,
and thus we may be benefited.
