τῶι ἀδε̣λφῷ πολλὰ χαίρειν.

πρὸ τῶν ὅλων ἐρῶσθαί σε εὔχομαι.

ἐχρῆ σε ἄδελφε γράφειν μοι διηνεκῶς̣ περὶ τῆς ὑγίας σου.

ἐξ ὁ̣̣͂ν ἡ μήτηρ ἡμῶν ἦλθεν πρό̣ς̣ σε οὔτε φάσιν μοι οὔτε ἐπιστολὴν ἐγράψατέ μοι ἵνα̣ καὶ αὐτὸς τεθαρρημένω̣ς̣ ἐμαυτὸν ἡδέως ἔχω.

To the brother, many greetings.

Before all things, I wish to speak to you.

It is necessary for you, brother, to write to me continuously about your health.

From whom our mother came to you, neither has she said to me nor have you written a letter to me, so that I myself may also have a cheerful heart.

English Translation

Many greetings to my brother.
Before everything else, I pray that you are well.
