Πάτρων Λάχῃ τῶι πατρὶ χαίρειν.
τὰ ἔργα τὰ παρά σοι μηδὲ ἓν ἀμελεῖσθωι
σὺν θεῶι κἀγὼ αὔριον κατέρχ(ομαι).
Πρωτᾶς ὁ γεωργὸς τῶν ἀρουρῶν τοῦ Πελβῦνις [γ]ράφει τὸ ἀναφόριον· ἐὰν οὖν σημ[εῖ]όν σοι ἐν̣έγκῃ ἢ ⟦ση\ἐ̣π̣ι̣/- μεῖον⟧ \στολὴν/ συνχώ̣ρησον αὐτῷ σπείρειν. τὸ περὶ τῶν κταμίων αὔριον ἀπαρτίζεται· εἰπὲ οὖν Ἥρωνι ἵνα παραβάλλῃ ἐκεῖ. Translation into English

Greetings to Patros from Laches.
Let none of the works that are entrusted to you be neglected.
With the help of the gods, I too will come down tomorrow.
Protas, the farmer of the fields of Pelvunis, writes the report: if therefore a sign should be brought to you or a shipment, allow him to sow. The matter concerning the harvest will be arranged tomorrow; therefore tell Heron to compare there. I lamented the farmer in Kerkesium; I did not find him; therefore go straight to the (Tessarakontaruron) and learn about the flax stalk and from there go to Theogonida.
I wish you to be strong.
