To Ptolemaios, son of Ptolemaios, who is the gymnasiarch, from Orsenouphios of Komon, from the Heracleian village of Kerkesouchon Mountain. I wish to lease from you for four years from the year of the reign of Aurelius Antoninus Caesar, the lord, from your possessions regarding the village of Areos, three and a half aruras of land in one seal. For the first and third, still for the yield of wheat, I will receive three and a half artabas of wheat per year, a total of fifty-two artabas of wheat per year in your own measure. For the second and fourth, still for the yield of grass, I will sow for myself for the feeding of sheep, all uncountable and unmovable, and I will complete all the yearly works of the aruras as is appropriate from my own in due season and I will pay the taxes yearly in the month of Pauni with pure, unadulterated new produce, the measurement being made through some of yours, being present among the ones of the wheat supply of the overseers, and the production of the taxes to you. And after the time, I will return the aruras clean from any weeds, except for the reeds, and I will have a confirmation of the lease and the cleanliness from the public taxes if it seems appropriate to lease.
